ADMISSION PROCEDURE ESCUELA AMERICANA
PRE-KINDER 2010-2011

The Escuela Americana of El Salvador seeks to enroll girls and boys of high academic promise and good character who will contribute to and benefit from the opportunities available in our school.

The Admission Procedure for Pre -Kinder includes:

A. Each parent /guardian must submit the following documents to the Admission Office:

1.Pre - Kinder Application form filled out completely.

2. Birth Certificate: An original copy for Salvadorian students; a photocopy of the original for non-Salvadorian students.

3. Copy of the last report card from current Pre-School.

4. Letter of recommendation from current teacher in a sealed envelope.

5. Certificate of good health.

6. Audio and Visual Exams results.

7. Vaccination record.

8. Psychometric and / or speech evaluation, if any.

9. One recent picture ID size.

10. Non-Salvadorian parents must submit a photocopy of their passports or of their Salvadorian residency card.

11. Receipt for application fee ( $ 40.00 ) payable at EA’s cashier.

B. Results of the admission test evaluation are given out.

- December 15, 2009: Last day to present documents in the Admissions Office

- Wednesday, January 20th: PK Orientation Meeting for parents

- Saturday, January 23rd , 30th and February 6th : Evaluation dates for PK students applying for the 2010-11 school year. Parents are informed at the Orientation Meeting which of these dates has been assigned to their child.

- Friday, February 12th : Parents can pick up the admissions letters in the Upper School lobby.

- February 15th through March 10th : If child has been admitted, parents pay a non-refundable reservation fee to guarantee their child a space for next school year.
